I am still trying to figure this whole parenthood out, but one thing is for sure… I would never trade it for anything in the world. I’ve never had eye bags before, but I still don’t regret the sleepless nights that come with having this baby. At times I kind of forget to be in the moment, but then I catch her staring at me and I can’t help feel that feeling parents talk about where the whole world stops and all you see is this precious thing that makes fear and pain disappear.
I am still adjusting to being a mother. There are a few things I’ve learned - trust the motherly instincts as it comes to you, despite this being your first time. Although, it’s essential to be accepting of help when you really need it. It gets hard to do both at times, when one contradicts the other and I’m still trying to figure this out.
I’m feeling even more nervous when Eric left for Maui this time around knowing that we’re getting close to your arrival.
That’s right, your arrival. Just now, I felt a wave of emotions just thinking about it and surprisingly, I felt good at the end of it. The thought of meeting you also brings me calm as well,

A few more things we need to take care of and then for Eric to be back home in time, I believe this is what’s been tickling my nerves…
